Parks League Captains

Instructions for registering Parks League match scores

On your smartphone, create a link to Parks League BHPLTA website, so you can always find it when you need. I like to do this on Chrome because it automatically remembers your password.

Open up the link to Parks League website, go to MENU, and select Clubs, then Club Captain login.

User name:

[once this is done, you shouldn’t have to enter name and pw again in the future]

Then select team [St Ann’s B], and it should automatically go to our next match, listed at the top. So click on Week 3 etc

Enter all OUR team names first and save. Use the helpful drop down menu of names. You only have to use the first few letters, so LAU will quickly bring up Laurence Stevens and Guillaume Serve. You can always save as you go along, a useful feature that works. I always like to enter our teams in advance, saving time and hassle pre-match. nb. you can make alterations, as we did recently with a no show, bringing in a new player.

When you get to the courts, find the first opposition player you can – ideally the captain – to start filling out the opposition names etc, which should definitely be done before the match. Save once you have all the names in, and go play tennis.

Afterwards enter the scores carefully. If required, you can enter Championship tie breaker scores for third set deciders. And you can enter a halved score, at one set all. There is also a ‘retired hurt’ function, allowing you to enter the score up to that point (which players care about). See also a concession function if necessary.

To verify and approve the final score, the opposition captain will give you their name, which you select on the menu, and you will then ask them to enter their email address (their ‘signature’) on your phone. Once the system recognizes that, the score is verified.

Important: get a screen grab of the full result the moment it appears ‘approved’, because it then disappears. As a courtesy, share the screen grab with visiting captain.

Nb. Duties can be shared! Any other registered St Ann’s player can follow the process above, which might be helpful if you have to get away.
