Guest Fees

£3 guest fee, per hour, for non-members

St Ann’s Tennis charges a guest fee of £3 per hour per player. Members must pay this when they book, using the Booker App.

A guest fee will apply whenever a visitor (non-members) plays on a court booked by a member. All bookings between St Ann’s Tennis members remain free of charge.

A guest fee does NOT apply for any St Ann’s Tennis organised event such as coaching, tournaments, club sessions or Parks League fixtures.

A guest fee do NOT apply for junior guests under 18 years old.

It is the responsibility of the member booking the court to arrange the payment of guest fees.

Why guest fees? These are standard practice at tennis clubs nationwide, and at clubs in Brighton & Hove. The larger private clubs either charge a guest fee, or do not allow guests at all. Guest fees are important, because they protect the interests of paying members. It is not fair for one member to invite three non-members for tennis doubles without any extra contribution. When that situation is repeated – as it often is – the amount of court time available for paying members is significantly reduced. Unfortunately, experience tells us that the system – without court fees – is open to abuse.

You can pay guest fees when you book online, either using the Booker App on your mobile phone, or using a computer. Click on the Add tab on the app when you book a court.
