Ben is a Welshman, brought up in Hove. He learnt to play tennis from the age of six at Pavilion & Avenue Tennis Club. His favourite tennis players are Rafael Nadal (‘his intensity’) and Simona Halep (‘incredible court coverage’). He began his coaching career at St Ann’s, helping out David Ince’s junior groups, and he has gradually worked through his tennis qualifications to achieve the LTA Level 3 coaching certificate. Ben played county level squash, and now represents Hove Park in the Brighton & Hove Parks League.
