For the Women’s American Doubles, players enter individually. No partner required.
Tournament Notes:
The Mixed Doubles is for intermediate and intermediate+/advanced players.
The Mixed Doubles will use a Round Robbin format. The winning pair will be the pair with the most games in total across all the rounds.
The Women’s Doubles will use an American format, swapping partners each round. The winner will be the player with the most games across all the rounds.
The Men’s Doubles will use a Knock Out Compass structure. Each pair will play three matches. The game format will be Fast4. Fast4 is played as the best of three sets, first to four (4) games). There are no ‘ad’ scores, so at 40-40, next point wins the game. Receiver decides on which side to receive. If the score is 3-3, then a 7 point tie breaker is played to decide the set. If the score reaches one set all (1-1), a 10 point match tie-breaker decides the winner. You change ends the same as regular sets, so after 1st, 3rd, 5th game etc.
The Men’s and Women’s singles will use a Knock Out Compass format using Fast4 scoring, as above.
We are saving Saturday 24 October in case of any rained off tournaments.
Waiting Lists; we will keep a waiting list for all tournaments as required. We may be able to expand a tournament if there is enough interest.
