Winners: End of Season Tournament

Division 1: Hove
Division 2: St Ann’s
Division 3: Queens
Division 4: St Ann’s

Team St Ann’s triumphed in the B Division of the End of Season Tournament at Hove Park on Saturday.

This annual festival is always a highlight, bringing together all the Parks Club teams. Twelve teams of six competed across two divisions, A and B. Preston Park came out on top in Division A.

A big thanks to skipper Ed Newlands and our fantastic line-up: Brooke, Steph, Susie, Steve Dorney, Zhen, and Simon G. We won every round and finished as clear winners of the group. (Perhaps St Ann’s should have been in the top division?)

Ed:
“Zhen and Susie won every round, as did Brooke and Steph. In fact, Brooke and Steph played together three times and dropped only two games. It’s fair to say St Ann’s were in the wrong group—a very comfortable win.”

Simon:
“Thanks to Steve Dorney for always making sure I knew which court we were on and when, making sure I had water, helping me work out what all those whistles meant, and picking up everything I left behind after each match. Top partner!”
