Thanks to all of you for taking part in our recently concluded Box League at St Ann’s Tennis. Congratulations to all our Box League winners, and well done to those of you who managed to play most if not all your games. We all know what a slog it can be arranging fixtures.
Our winner in Division 1 was Thomas Mount, who played a decent number of games, giving him the edge over near rivals Andrew Woolston and Fred Pearman-Wright, both with perfect 4/4 records.

Making his debut in D1 was Oli Thompsett, who wins a Best Effort prize for getting through seven matches, even if the results didn’t quite go his way.
In Division 2, Ryan Jones [see photo] powered to a second consecutive promotion, playing a division best NINE matches, and finishing with a comfortable 15 point lead over second place Justice Yennie.
Ben Thomas edged out Paul Joyce for the Division 3 title, finishing with a satisfying WWWWW sequence. Paul won the head-to-head with Ben in an epic 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 encounter. Both will be playing up a division next time around.
Congratulations to Division 4 superstars Alejandro Marin and Miguel Cosme, who both played TEN fixtures. Despite those efforts, it was Lex Lewis – W7 L1 – who finished top of the table by seven points ahead of Alejandro. Darragh won four out of four, but needs to play more to go up next time around. D4 was our top league in terms of matches played.
Rob Bennett romped Division 5 with an undefeated 9/9 win streak, well ahead of second place Nick Fedynyszyn. Rob edged their head-to-head 5-7, 6-1, [10-5].
