Competitive Doubles is back at St Ann’s Tennis, starting Sunday 12 January, aimed at intermediate and advance intermediate players.
Our dubs guru Scott Tawse has regretfully eloped to Australia (back in the spring, he promises). But we have a rather excellent young replacement coach in Matt Weaver. Matt is a LTA Level 3 tennis coach with extensive competitive experience, and is also a qualified LTA Tournament Referee, which is pretty amazing for a lad aged 19. Best of all, Matt tells us: “I absolutely love doubles.”
His weekly sessions will run 12-1.30pm, and are aimed at Teams St Ann’s players and aspiring Team St Ann’s. Players are encouraged to stay on court for the last half hour to practice their doubles skills.
