Congratulations to all of our Box League Autumn Season 2024 champions.

Participation was variable to strong. The ladies division, and Divisons 2a and 2b were sparsely contested, but there was a high volume of competitive action everywhere else.

League 1 saw plenty of first class matches, mostly driven by new member Diego Chernichero who ripped through all his games, only to finish two points behind the undefeated Azad Amin (photo).

Diego and Azad fought out a draw – 3-6, 7-6 -and then ran out of time as the curtain came down. To be continued.

There were also strong showings in D1 from Ed Newlands and Ezra Jellinek. It’s been quite a late season surge for Azad, who won our club singles title in September. Looking ahead, Dan O’Shea has promised a return to Box League action soon to shake things up a bit. Sign up here

Aled Roberts and Joe McPherson won the 2a and 2b titles, chased by Andy Gray and Oli Thompsett respectively. Jacobo Jaramillo from Columbia comfortably won D3 ahead of Tom Dalton – two new members making their mark. No single player scored more Box League points this season than Guy Dixon, who romped home in D4 with 32 points. Ian Reynolds (ahead of Nico Dellaroca), and Neal Udeen (ahead of Daniel Geller) secured the D5 and D6 titles.
