Sir Ed Davey warmed up for his keynote speech at the Liberal Democrats’ conference in Brighton with a hit at St Ann’s Tennis.
The Liberal Democratic leader was joined by three of his fellow MPs for some tennis fun, making full use of the lovely Autumn weather and excellent parks tennis facilities in Brighton & Hove.

Sir Ed, the MP for Kingston and Surbiton, is a “very decent” tennis player according to St Ann’s Tennis Director Conrad Brunner. “He has a consistent, slicey serve, and gives it a whack, especially on the forehand. He politely turned down our request to represent St Ann’s in the Parks League, citing work commitments.”
Other MPs to join the session included Max Wilkinson, Munira Wilson, Layla Moran and Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper. Thanks to Issy & Jack from the LTA, and Head Coach Jimmy Smith, and Ben Pugh, for their help.
