The St Ann’s first team has been promoted to the First Division of the Parks League.

St Ann’s, captained by Neeraj Nayar, secured the Parks League Division 2 title last night thanks to an impressive 4-0 win away at Dyke C. The win means the team is now ten points clear at the top of Division 2 with one match remaining.

Conrad says: “This promotion marks the end of a journey for St Ann’s, from no team at all, to our first ‘revival’ team in Division 4, and then promotions to Division 3, Division 2, and now Division 1 in consecutive summers. This achievement is shared with the many St Ann’s players who’ve contributed over the last four seasons.”

“Special thanks to our outstanding first team skipper Neeraj (below), who has done a fantastic job leading and inspiring a talented group of players.”

Neeraj says: “”We’ve taken the Division 2 title with a game in hand! I am so proud to have humbly supported and Captained this phenomenal squad. The trophy presentation will be at Hove Park on 21st September.”

St Ann’s A (our 2nd team) will finish the season safe (just!) in Division 2, with St Ann’s B securely midtable in Division 3. St Ann’s C are still fighting for promotion to Division 3. A full season round-up will be published at the conclusion of the Parks League season.
