Courts Closed from Tuesday

St Ann’s Tennis is closing all the tennis courts from this Tuesday 7 May for court painting. This is the final stage of our upgrading of the playing surface at St Ann’s, and the process is expected to last seven days.

Regretfully, all tennis activities at St Ann’s Well Gardens during this period have been cancelled. We expect the courts to be open and ready to play from Wednesday 15 May approximately.

Parks League: we have made provisional arrangements for this week’s fixtures which will be posted on the Team St Ann’s group WhatsApp chat.

Box Leagues: we will extend the deadline for an extra seek, so 07 July.

We appreciate the inconvenience this presents to our members, but this repainting work is overdue and needs to be done as soon as possible. We’ve struggled to complete the task due to the unsettled weather over the last two months. So this is short term pain for long term gain. Thanks to all our St Ann’s Tennis members, visitors and coaches for their patience.

Conrad writes: “We believe this expensive resurfacing the project – funded without any support from the LTA or BHCC – represents a significant upgrade for all our members.

“Every tennis club has to do court maintenance work from time to time. Membership does not guarantee 52 weeks a year court use. St Ann’s Tennis is confident our courts surface will be as good as it can be, that we can all look forward to a fabulous summer of tennis, and that St Ann’s Tennis annual membership continues to represent excellent value for money.”
