A bit late in the season, but we can finally announce the winners of our two most valuable trophies: the Most Improved Player awards 2022 (men & women).

Congratulations to our winners Andrew Woolston (men’s Most Improved Player 2022) and Teodora Ivanova (women’s Most Improved Player 2022).

“Andrew was a great addition to the St Ann’s Team this season, and he was clearly a very skillful and capable tennis player. Since last spring, however, he has really jumped a level. He went through the Parks League season undefeated, working with a variety of partners to bring home the points. He has also won several St Ann’s Tennis tournaments in mens and mixed doubles. Andy has raised the standard of the whole team, and we are grateful for his massive contribution to the team over the summer.”

“Teodora was barely an ‘improver’ a year ago, and was some distance off selection to Team St Ann’s. But Tea kept at it all summer, and with regular lessons, club sessions, and club competitions, she just got better and better over the course of the summer. Her overall game is now much more consistent, and her backhand ground shots are awesome. By the end of last summer, she made her Parks League debut, and ended up winning points for St Ann’s.”
