Super8 Singles is returning to St Ann’s Tennis in November.

We will host men’s and women’s singles tournaments, both using a compass tournament format, with each player guaranteed three best-of-three-set matches using Fast 4 scoring. Entry £15 (£12 St Ann’s members).

On Saturday 19 November, we will host a mens intermediate (8 player) tournament on courts 1-4, AND a mens intermediate+ (8 player) on courts 5-8, running simultaneously. Players can pick whichever standard they prefer.

On Saturday 26 November, 1-4pm there will be a women’s intermediate tournament using the same format (8 player). See booking links below.

Fast4 scoring

Each player will play three best-of-three Fast4 matches. Fast4 Matches are played as the best of three (2) short sets, first to four (4) games). There are no ‘ad’ scores, so at 40-40, next point wins the game. If the score is 3-3, then a 7 point tie breaker is played to decide the set. If the match score reaches one set all (1-1), a 10 point match tie-breaker decides the winner. You change ends the same as regular sets, so after 1st, 3rd, 5th game etc.
