“There is a general shortage of tennis tournaments for juniors in the Brighton & Hove area,” says Conrad Brunner. “Despite growing numbers of children learning tennis in our city, there are not enough accessible competitions for aspiring young players, most of whom have to travel long distances to find suitable sanctioned tournaments. There’s a lack of basic tournaments from entry-level right up to elite county/national level. So St Ann’s Tennis is delighted to help out, and to be offering these tournaments to young tennis players in Brighton & Hove,” said Conrad Brunner.
“We have been in discussion with Tennis Sussex, and we hope these LTA sanctioned events – eight, in total – will help establish St Ann’s Tennis as a popular venue for junior competitions. Our excellent coaching team will, of course, be encourage to give local young players from the St Ann’s area a chance to compete.”
“As well as LTA sanctioned junior tournaments, St Ann’s Tennis will stage its own development tournaments for young players, as we did in 2021.”
