Ladies, We Need You

St Ann’s Tennis will be running competitive ladies doubles and mixed doubles sessions on Tuesday evenings at 6pm. This is for improver/intermediates who are interested in taking their game to the next level.

“This a good opportunity for players to get involved with competitive doubles in a fun, zero-pressure environment,” says Team St Ann’s captain Conrad Brunner. “We’ll pair weaker players with stronger players to generate good action. The standard is decent but not intimidating!”

Tuesday Doubles at St Ann’s Tennis

“Team St Ann’s is actively recruiting lady players for the next Parks League season, starting April 2022. We’ve got some terrific ladies in the team already (see below), but we want more. We’re aiming to add a second team next summer, each team being made up of four men and four women (a mens pair, a ladies pair, and two mixed pairs). Before we can think about a second team, we’ll need a decent number of registered female players – a good dozen, or so – who are comfortable playing best-of-three doubles matches. Men? We’ve got a good volume of male players, so that is not a problem, although increasing our depth is always welcome.”

“We’ll run these groups for the next few weeks and see how it goes. So far, the number of players getting involved is very encouraging.”

If you’re interested, please contact Conrad in advance. Numbers are limited to 16 per session. We’ll provide balls.
